Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why didn't I receive an order confirmation?
A: Order confirmation emails are generated automatically when you place your order. Please check your spam folder to make sure that messages from "[email protected]" are not being filtered to spam.
Q: Why didn't I receive a shipping confirmation?
A: Shipping confirmation emails are generated once your order has been packed and is ready for shipment/pickup by the respective carrier. Please check your spam folder to make sure that messages from "[email protected]" are not being filtered to spam.
Q: When will my order ship?
A: We ship most orders Monday-Wednesday. Orders of PopWorms!®LIVE, Leftovers and Living Large are shipped as early in the week as possible, to ensure there are no transit delays over the weekend that might result in the death of the larvae. Additionally, orders placed in the afternoon likely won't ship until the next day or week, as we are dependent on offices of our shipping carriers being open, or when our scheduled pickups with these carriers occur. Once your order has been packed and is ready for shipment, you will receive a shipping confirmation email. Q: Why haven't I received a response to my message from the "Contact Us" form?
A: We try to answer emails as we receive them, but please allow us two business days to be able to respond to your message. Also, please check your spam folder to make sure that messages from "[email protected]" are not being filtered to spam, as this is the account from which communications from us will come.
Q: I just received my order of PopWorms! LIVE™, but it looks like they are dead, what should I do?
A: Black soldier fly larvae are quite resilient, which is one of the reasons why we are able to ship them around the country. As long as they did not die from exposure to below freezing temperatures, or very hot temperatures, they likely survived the transit journey to you. If the larvae you received appear to be dead, please get them inside, provide them something to eat (we suggest a few slices of banana or some warm oatmeal) and keep at room temperature (~75-78°F) for a few hours to allow the larvae to recover. If this does not revive the larvae, please Contact Us.
